Warre's 1983
Vintage Port

Another rich and long-lived wine.
Description
A rather small quantity was made. The freshness and outstanding aromatic quality was probably the best since 1963, possibly excepting the 1977. Should not be ready until just before the end of the 20th century.
Our Expert's Recommendation
"This wine is now beginning to reach its full maturity and is likely to be ready for drinking. As it ages further, it will begin to develop gently into a more tawny style wine."
Press Comments
"Perfumed chocolate and spice nose. Floral hints, rich palate. Great elegance".
“A really haunting scent. Wonderful orangey fruit…This has everything. The fruit, acidity and tannin balance is superb. The most classic of the 1983s”.
“...with characteristic Warre elegance and firm dry tannic finish”.
“In my opinion, the winner was WARRE’S; big, intense, tea leaf redolent wine – a long laster if ever there was one”.
