Warre's 1977
Vintage Port

A wine with great 'grip' and backbone.
Our Expert's Recommendation
"This wine is now beginning to reach its full maturity and is likely to be ready for drinking. As it ages further, it will begin to develop gently into a more tawny style wine."

Deep garnet. Very pretty plum and berry aromas, with hints of honey and toffee. Turns to custard. Fullbodied,
sweet and fresh. Firm tannins, with elegance and balance. Will age for a long time, but ready.
Generous, but subtle. —J.S.
"Very good colour. On the nose the wine is rich and ample, and just a little overblown. Very plummy, fullish, rich and quite sweet. A fat wine. Plump and voluptuous. Good vigour. Very good indeed."
“…typical Warre elegance, lissom and lovely”.
“The magisterial WARRE 1977.”
“Rich and highly flavored, starting to open into a superb wine. Deep ruby, with a very perfumed cassis nose, full-bodied, with tons of sweet berry flavors, full, round tannins and a ripe fruit finish. A gentle giant of a wine”.
