Description
William Warre M.W. was given a bottle of Warre 1900 in 2000 to celebrate its century. The wine had not been moved from the house since it had been delivered from the London bottler in 1902. The wine was darkish tawny with a beautiful, classic aroma which lasted for over two hours, thanks no doubt to its calm storage treatment.
Our Expert's Recommendation
"On account of the tremendous age of this wine, the occasion that you decide to pull the cork will always be momentous. It is difficult to comment further, except for the fact that Port is very resilient and can spring the odd surprise, even at this age. I would however suggest that you have a younger vintage on hand - just in case!"
