This is an extraordinary house that seems to have been particularly successful with its vintage port since 1977.The 1977, still a baby, is fabulously scented, very rich and concentrated, and has a potential longevity of at least another 30-50 years.
“One of the glories of the vintage. Impeccably Dow in its power and tight kernel of flavor. It tastes of schist and black cherries in profound concentration. The lasting taste glows with floral complexities, the scent of esteva rising out of the black fruit. The color is still dense and dark. This may reach maturity by forty or fifty, and continue to live long after”.
