Dow's 1912

Vintage Port

A classic Vintage, considered by some as one of Dow's finest.

Description

It was during this year that the first Symington, Andrew James, joined George Warre as a partner in Dow's.

Our Expert's Recommendation

"On account of the tremendous age of this wine, the occasion that you decide to pull the cork will always be momentous. It is difficult to comment further, except for the fact that Port is very resilient and can spring the odd surprise, even at this age. I would however suggest that you have a younger vintage on hand - just in case!"

"A serious old wine with an attractive finish."
Michael Broadbent , Vintage Wine

"Now with a tawny, heathery bouquet. Delicate and drifting. Then comes a tremendous mule-kick of spirity fruit. Roses at the end. Toffee spirit. Bitter almond finish”.
