Graham's 1955
Vintage Port

The complete Vintage Port.
Description
This vintage was declared when the Port trade was generally depressed. Graham's 1955 is one of the best, big with generous fruit flavours. Should continue to age well into the next century.
Our Expert's Recommendation
"If you have odd bottles of this wine in your cellar, you may find that there can be a slight variation between each bottle depending largely on where they have been stored. This wine is unlikely to benefit from further ageing. Exceptional colour for its age."
Press Comments
“I have enjoyed the ’55 Graham’s on numerous occasions and this bottle showed extremely well. The colour was a solid garnet with just the slightest evidence of bricking on the edge. It showed far less evolution than some of my other bottles. This Graham’s is offering spicy and herbal notes with mint, violet and lavender aromas. Great purity of Elderberry fruit here with a hint of anise and a slight touch of spirit. Impressively young and seemingly, this bottle could have continued to age well for 2+ decades”.
“One of my favourite all-time ports and I have tasted it nearly 30 times since 1958. The last time was at home, in 1999. I decanted it....and it opened up magnificently. It was still very sweet with delicious flavour and glorious length. Perfection”.
"Medium colour. Rich, vigorous and classy nose. This is very lovely. Very splendid fruit. Fullish on the palate. Very clean and very pure. Very fine balance. Complex and long. Quite delicious."
