Dear Matthew,  We hope the box has been well stored!  If so, the wine should be drinking beautifully, mature but with capacity to age a bit longer - see the tasting notes in our Knowledge Base.  If you are unfamiliar with Vintage Port, you may also want to look at our suggestions for Decanting and Serving Vintage Port.  One of the joys of having an entire case of Port is being able to open a bottle every few months or each year and observe how the wine is maturing.

Symington Family Estates are not active in the secondary market for Port, so we are unable to advise you on the value of your wine.  Be aware any potential broker or purchaser will be looking for some assurance that the wine has been well cellared.  It would be best if the case were unopened, as it is generally easier to sell full cases than odd bottles.  If you wish to pursue this, you should contact a specialist wine merchant - in the UK Berry Brothers & Rudd have the BBX on line exchange for wines.  This service is aimed at their own clients whose wines have been stored in bond with BBR, but if you look at the site, you may be able to find some price guidance. You might also contact any of the auction houses that handle fine wines, such as Bonham's, Christie's or Sotheby's for valuation and advice.
