Q:

I have a full set (7 x 2) of Cricket  Centenary vintage Port (Australia's first test team 1880). They are in perfect condition, and still in their boxes.  Could you please advise me as to how much the full set is worth and where I could sell them.

A:

Hi Judy, Just as sparkling wine made outside of Champagne, France, is not strictly "Champagne" so fortified wines made outside of the Douro region of Portugal are not strictly "Ports."   As makers of true Port here in Portugal, and not active in the secondary market for Port or any other wines, Symington Family Estates are not well placed to help you on this query.  We would suggest you contact a specialist wine merchant in your area who could advise you on the secondary market for these wines, or an auction house which specialises in fine wines, such as Langton's.
