Quinta de Roriz 2007

Release Notes

Deep opaque purple colour. Incredibly perfumed nose packed with complex and powerful floral aromas of freshly picked violets, roses, and hints of ‘esteva’ combined with ripe berry fruit.  On the palate stylish and with great finesse combining both power and grace.  Intense blackberry and black plum flavours and a fine tannic structure lead to a long and lingering slightly drier finish.

Alcohol by volume v/v (20º C): 20%
Total Acidity g/l tartaric acid: 4.70
Baumé: 3.4

Already open and minty, showing the freshness that is the hallmark of the vintage. Suave and smooth, and mid-weight with soft, spicy tannins.

The purple/black 2007 Quinta do Roriz Vintage Port displays a pleasing perfume of violets, incense, spice box, and assorted black fruits. On the palate it has excellent volume with plenty of round, layered, succulent fruit and an overall friendly personality.  Impeccably balanced, this mid-weight Port will evolve for 6-8 years and drink well through 2027. It offers solid value.

Score: 90/100
