Quinta de Roriz 2005

Release Notes

The schist soil, typical of the Douro, predominates at Quinta de Roriz, which nevertheless has a unique soil composition; the tin mines and traces of gold give a unique personality to its wines.

The 2005 has an intense opaque purple colour, characteristic of a new Vintage Port.   It is a wine of great aromatic concentration, with fresh aromas of black cherry together with spices and cedar.   On the palate it is full bodied and balanced, with layers of smooth tannins and traces of mineral, a trademark of this property.   On the finish, exuberant and incredibly persistent.

Alcohol by volume v/v (20º C): 20%
Total Acidity g/l tartaric acid: 4.65
Baumé: 4.0
