Warre’s 2000 Vintage has a dark ruby colour. On the nose, excellent floral aromas of violets and mint combine with layer upon layer of ripe blackberry fruit. On the palate great freshness and elegance with vibrant fruit flavours and velvety tannins lead to a long and persistent finish. Approachable now but is still 4 to 5 years from its prime, after which it will age superbly for decades.

Gold Medal & The Port Trophy & The Fortified Wine Trophy   Lush, rich and ripe and as black as night. Peppery and slightly minerally notes show through the big black berries. It has great weight, big tannins, big alcohol, big fruit and it should be very, very successful.

Score: Gold Medal

Lovely floral aromas of berries, violets and minerals. Full-bodied, with firm tannins and a racy finish.  A harmonious yet well-toned Warre.
