Tasting Notes

2008 tasting note year

Colour: Deep ruby colour.  Nose: Intense and opulent ripe plummy fruit on  the nose.  Palate: Dark berry flavours with a hint of cool minty freshness.  A  full bodied and rich palate with excellent ripe tannins leading to a long and slightly dry lingering finish.  This Vintage is beginning to show some of the wonderful characteristics of bottle matured wine. It can be drunk now but will repay a few more years in your cellar.

Lovely rich, full concentrated nose. Lots of depth and quality here. Fullish backward palate. Still raw. A lot of energy underneath. Lovely fruit.  Balanced, rich and complex. Very good indeed.  And this is a fine vintage.

James Suckling critic

1997 tasting note year

Very perfumed and beautiful, with a generous ripe berry, cherry and mineral character and masses of fruit. Full-bodied and fat, it's medium-sweet with a long, tannic finish.
