Tasting Notes

2000 tasting note year

…since 1987 some colour loss, now looking mature. Bouquet has opened up. Mint, liquorice, fruit. Still fairly sweet, nice weight, flavoury, but tannin and acidity giving the wine a dry finish.

Score: 3 Stars

James Suckling critic

1990 tasting note year

An example of how this house's young wines lose their hard edge and become elegant and racy.  Medium ruby with a red edge, complex, perfumed cherry aromas, medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a lovely balance of very elegant fruit flavours.

1987 tasting note year

After five years in bottle [1977] deep, hard-nosed, but very sweet, and ten years later [1987] little change.

Score: 3 Stars
