Quite a spirity nose. Such a sweet treacly taste. Raisins flavour. Luscious finish. A compote of dried fruit.
The most frequently noted recently seem to have been Oporto-bottled and consistently attractive and elegant. A wine with suppleness and a bit of a swagger. Several consistent notes over the past ten years [90s]. Now mature-looking, even a hint of orange. Lovely nose noted on three occasions. Fairly, not very, sweet, perfect weight and flavour. Most recently [2002], similar notes, very good texture and flavour. "What port is all about." Now - 2015 Score: 5 Stars
There is still plenty of fresh, youthful fruit here. Medium ruby-red, with an intense floral and berry nose, medium-bodied, with rich, sweet fruit flavours, medium tannins and a lingering finish. Very good fruit. Score: 91/100
