Tasting Notes

Slight yeasty tones, a little hazy. Very pale tawny colour still with a pink heart. Very sweet floral nose, delicate but lacking length & fruit on palate. Delicate tones of leather. Slightly high-toned, and a little short. It is an elegant wine but showing its age.

James Suckling critic

Vintage Port (book, Suckling, 1990) source
1990 tasting note year

The extremely hot 1934 Vintage produced some rich, thick and powerful Vintage Port, but his one remains extremely elegant.  It is a delight to drink now.  Light red with a garnet edge, elegant cherry and raspberry aromas, medium-bodied, with light cherry and tomato flavours and a medium finish.
