Viticultural and Weather Conditions

Hot dry summer, which conditions continued throughout harvest, which began 27 September.

Vinification

The mostos (musts) stood a great deal of work although they were low in graduation, one lagar after 3 days and two half nights still stood at 11º.  The wines are turning out very well though with not great colour.  Quinta gave 24 pipes (without aguardente).

Winemaker's Overview

The vintage commenced on Sept 27th after a very hot summer which lasted till the wine was safely made.  A great quantity of grapes had to be left on the vines owing to their being completely dried by the heat.
