Viticultural and Weather Conditions

A dry winter and adverse weather during the summer resulted in much sunburn and badly matured grapes, though some showers at the end of September did do some good.

Harvest began in most districts and at our quintas 4 October, one of the latest on record.

Winemaker's Overview

With the exception of Tuesday 5th when it rained, the weather has been perfectly fine for the vintage which fact has practically saved the situation. The general opinion ias to the quality seems to be that it is much better than was expected.
