2009 Vintage

My wife and I recently celebrated the birth of our first child.  As an avid wine lover, I would like to buy a nice age-worthy bottle of wine to commemorate his birth.  I want to cellar this bottle until my son is old enough to enjoy it with me.  Of course, vintage port is one of the first types of wine that comes to mind for this.

My question is this - have any houses declared a vintage for 2009?  If so, can anyone recommend one that has the potential to age for 20 years or so?

Also, when would 2009 vintage port be released?

I read that they harvested early this year, but at earliest that was but a few weeks ago, so it is a bit early to declare.

Vintage port is released approximately 2 years after harvest. A vintage is declared about a year and a half after vintage.

You really have your choice of any top house.

My final word: This is an archaic custom founded on the idea of 'Lord of the Manor' and sons following unquestioningly in their father's footsteps. If you want to drink port to celebrate your son's 21st birthday, buy some for yourself, but since he may grow to not even drink at all, don't make plans as to what he will be eating or drinking in two decades just yet.
